From Wellness to Sportsmanship- A blend of fitness and fun in the Last Days of Orientation Programme 2023 at Lords University

The journey of the orientation program at Lords University continued to unfold with the arrival of Day 3, a day marked by a perfect balance of self-care and engaging activities. With a focus on physical and mental well-being, the day promised a mix of enlightening experiences and joyful moments.

The morning sun welcomed the participants to the Open Air Theatre, where a session of yoga and meditation awaited them. Dr. Indrapal Singh, the Dean of Lords School of Physical Science, led the session, guiding everyone through the calming practices that help rejuvenate both mind and body. As the participants stretched and breathed, a sense of serenity enveloped the space.

Following the wellness session, the participants were treated to a lecture on Physical Fitness and Stress Management by Prof. (Dr.) Sachin Agarwal, the Dean of Physiotherapy. The session shed light on the importance of maintaining physical fitness and offered insights into effective stress management techniques, crucial skills for a balanced college life.

While the morning was dedicated to wellness, the afternoon took a fun-filled turn. Dr. Pradeep Prasann conducted an engaging quiz competition that not only tested the participants' knowledge but also sparked their curiosity. The spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition was palpable as the participants enthusiastically participated.

The day's enjoyment continued with a series of interactive activities like riddles, tongue twisters, Dumb Charades, and Antakshari. Laughter echoed through the halls as students and faculty members engaged in friendly battles of wit and creativity.

Day 4 of the Orientation Programme at Lords University marked a thrilling culmination to the four-day journey of new beginnings. The highlight of the day was the fervent sportsmanship displayed during the Basketball, Volleyball, and Cricket matches. Students from various departments joined forces, forging new bonds and channeling their energy into friendly competitions.

As the matches concluded, the sense of new found friendship and shared experiences among the participants was palpable. The sports matches not only encouraged healthy competition but also provided a platform for students to unwind, socialize, and foster connections beyond the classroom preparing the participants for the exciting journey that lies ahead. With each passing day, the sense of belonging and enthusiasm grew, setting the stage for a memorable college experience.The wrap-up of the Orientation Programme was a fitting end to the eventful four days.
