BPT & MPT are professional courses from the medical science branch dealing with the science of physical movement specifically with disequilibrium that is related to the neuromusculoskeletal system and problems that arise thereof. The fundamental unit of physiotherapy treatment is channelising the physical movement to prevent any sort of disability inevitably involving energising the body, mind, and self and consequent holistic rehabilitation of the patient.  

Physiotherapists are envisaged as clinicians, hence, their training includes in-depth knowledge of the neuroscience of movement as well as the problems that arise from the pathogenesis of dyskinesia (abnormal movement) and pain.

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or BPT is a 4 year 6 months undergraduate programme that deals with the structure of the human body and the science of physical movement.

    A BPT graduate is a therapist with allied health professional certificate.

  • Master of Physiotherapy or MPT is a 2-year degree course, which comes under the stream of Medicine and Allied Science.

    The post graduate degree offers a specialty in physiotherapy which provides access to a variety of professions in the healthcare industry.

    Eligibility: BPT with a minimum of 50%

    Duration: 2 years
