Reviving the Spirit of Wellness- World Physiotherapy Day celebrated at Lords School of Physiotherapy

World Physiotherapy Day, observed annually on September 8th, is a dedicated occasion to honor and celebrate the profound impact of physical therapy and the dedicated professionals, and physiotherapists, who contribute significantly to advancing health and well-being. 

The day holds significant importance in recognizing the invaluable role that physical therapists play in enhancing people's health and well-being. This day provides a unique opportunity to create awareness about the numerous benefits of physical therapy and how it can aid individuals in recovering from injuries, managing chronic conditions, and ultimately improving their overall quality of life.

One notable celebration of World Physiotherapy Day took place at the Lords School of Physiotherapy, attended by esteemed members of the Alwar Association of Physiotherapy, along with the university's Dean, Dr. Sachin, and other dedicated faculty members, including Dr. Satish, Dr. Sandeep Saini, Dr. Pooja Lalwani, and Dr. Shreya Porwal.

The theme for World Physiotherapy Day 2023 centers around arthritis, with a particular emphasis on rheumatoid arthritis and axial spondylarthritis. The Significance of Physical Therapy In the management of arthritis, physical therapy plays a pivotal role. It assists patients in preserving joint function, alleviating pain, and elevating their general quality of life. Collaborating closely with individuals, physical therapists design tailored exercise regimens and lifestyle adjustments that cater to their individual requirements. In this way, they make a substantial difference in enhancing the well-being of those dealing with arthritis.

The event saw a convergence of both teachers and students, with expert doctors enlightening attendees about the significance of addressing arthritis and strategies for prevention.

In addition to insightful discussions, second-year BPT students conducted an enlightening awareness presentation. The program continued with captivating cultural performances that added vibrancy to the occasion. A solemn oath-taking ceremony followed, where first-year BPT students pledged their commitment to upholding the noble values of their chosen profession as they embarked on their educational journey.
