3 students placed at Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company Limited from Lords School of Business

According to a report by “The International Labour Organisation” (ILO), India’s 83% of youth is accounted for in the unemployed workforce. Not only this, but the share of youth within secondary and higher education has doubled from 35.2% in 2000 to 65.7% in 2022. These reports are grappling and the question is what is leading to a high rate of employment?

The answer is simple, there is a huge shift in the mindsets of the employers. They no longer give major importance to the degrees an individual holds, rather they focus on the skill sets that an individual has. In 2024 particularly, skills such as leadership, communication, creativity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability are the most in-demand skills. Therefore, youth today should focus more on acquiring these skills and those seeking admission in college now should be careful of joining universities who understand this basic necessity in this competitive world.

Lords University is one such example, which works on the holistic development of an individual rather than just covering the curriculum theoretically. The guidance that is provided here prepares an individual for future jobs. Recently, “Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company Limited” came to Lords University for campus placements.
