Greening Our Tomorrow: NSS Lords’ Plantation Drive under ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh Program’

Amid the fervor of the ongoing Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, a significant step towards a greener future was taken at Lords University through the "Meri Mati Mera Desh" program under the National NSS (National Service Scheme). The initiative aimed to commemorate the spirit of independence by planting the seeds of environmental consciousness and sustainability.

Guided by the NSS Officer, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, the young participants of the NSS program engaged in planting saplings within the premises of Lords University and in the neighboring adopted villages. This symbolic act not only contributes to the preservation of our environment but also echoes the sentiment of unity and responsibility towards our nation.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Neetu Yadav, Dean of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, emphasized the pivotal role that each individual plays in safeguarding our environment. She highlighted how nurturing our surroundings translates into nurturing our nation.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar outlined the comprehensive scope of the "Meri Mati Mera Desh" program, which spans from August 9 to August 15. This program is a poignant reminder that nurturing our land equates to nurturing our country.
